The Argus Project

The Argus Project is a wearable sculpture, video installation and counter surveillance training which directly intersects the public debate over police accountability. By embedding an array of camera "eyes" into a full body suit of tactical armor, the Argus exo-suit creates a "force field of accountability" around the bodies of those targeted, it was developed with a documentary film and exhibited at the 2016 TriBeCa Film Festival Storyscapes.

Universal Solvent Studios conceptualized and implemented the technical architecture, utilizing a network of servers running on Raspberry pis to capture and stream images and video. Additionally we fabricated the suit, embedded the electronic architecture and the wearable design interface.
